Sandra : I don’t know, but everybody was accusing me after that for making Siu Lynn quit the game. Haha…that was her downfall, I think.

Well…there could be other reasons of her own. So…tell us about Fusion!

Sandra : We sell a lot of tea stuff. That’s our main concentration. We have milk tea, all the fruity tea, shakes, blended things, coffee, health drinks…. We started in September 2001. Della bought over the place with her partners. I’m just working for her, you know. And we just changed the name to Fusion last week. We started off by franchising, but we didn’t want to continue with them coz we’d have more flexibility if we do it ourselves. We’ve learnt the trade, we know where to get the stuff, and we can control the quality better. All the stuff is from Taiwan, and we brew these drinks from tea leafs…not powder.

It tastes great! I love the apple flavored ones (as a hint for more which wasn’t successful). Do a lot of squash players have a drink and chill here?

Sandra : Yeah…quite a lot. Kok Four, Carrie, even Yoke Keet comes here when she’s down, Kenneth is always here, Beng Hee comes here also when he’s around, and I’ve seen Azlan here a couple of times...um, Kelvin...

Whoa…basically everyone then!

Sandra : Almost…haha. Even Singaporean squash players come here. The Hong Kong players had also been here…Elise and the others. They know we own this place. Even Carol Owens had been here before.

I would have stayed longer to girl talk with them if I didn’t have classes that day. Would have been nice to catch up and know about old squash tales.
